The Marianna Trench’s Challenger Deep
Trenches are deep valleys between to peaks. Even under the sea are trenches. This trench is a whopping 36,201 feet deep. What does that really look like? Well, It is like having Mt. Everest dropped into the ocean then having it go still deeper into this trench!!
January 23, 1960, the sea ship, Trieste, reached the bottom of the deepest place on earth! There were tiny cracks appearing on the window because of the pressure to the craft! They cut their journey time short!
But in 2012, another brave explorer, film maker, James Cameron risked his life traveling to the same place. He was amazed at what he saw. He stayed there 3 hours and captured with special equipment, bacteria samples and small sea animals.
The Deep sea Challenger! Cameron said the deep, dark, made him to marvel and think about how did these deep places and animals, come to exist! A famous woman, Cory Ten Boom onces said, “There is no pit so deep, that God’s love is not deeper still.”
